Abstract In September 2021, Swire Properties became the first real estate developer in Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland to have 1.5oC-aligned science-based targets approved, paving the way to reach net zero emissions by 2050. To achieve these ambitious targets requires not only the ramping up of decarbonization efforts in landlord operations, but also involves exploring new processes, methods, and solutions to engage building users on this sustainability journey. This presentation will share how Swire Properties leverages its bespoke tenant engagement programmes – Green Performance Pledge and Green Kitchen Initiative – to promote landlord-tenant collaboration, encourage adoption of pioneering green technologies and jointly improve environmental performance. Biography Phoebe Leung is the Sustainable Development Manager of Swire Properties.
